Ronald Eugene LeCompte

December 22, 1960 - March 29, 2024

Ron LeCompte was welcomed into the world on December 22, 1960. He was born in Oakpark, Illinois and later grew up in Lake Village, Arkansas with his sister, cousins, and other relatives.

After graduating from high school, he joined the United States Air Force and served for 15 years. The Air Force kept him busy making parachutes and doing renovation work. After retiring, he had a varied work history that involved paper manufacturing, newspaper delivery, and he was an auto mechanic at Ashley's Automotive. Wayne, Ransom, Stephan, and the rest of the crew there were like family to him.

He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, sports, and was a pretty good cook too. He loved animals and over the years raised several dogs, cats, fish, and even a few snakes.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Alta.

He is survived by his sister Patty, along with her children and grandchildren; former wife Becky mother of his sons Aaron, Scotty (and wife Christie), and Daniel; former wife Shannon, step-daughter Katy and her daughter Autumn; and a host of other family and friends.

Memorial Services will be held at a later date.
