Ronald Lee Austin was born September 6, 1947. He was born in Blytheville, Arkansas. He died on April 12, 2024 in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents Otis and JoNell Austin and only sibling, Jeanetta Austin Boyd.

Ron is survived by his greatest loves: his wife, Marilyn Crowley Austin, and their children: Eli, Josh, Rita (her husband Andy Ferguson and their children Clara and Amelia), and Sam (his wife Lindsay and their children Oliver and Alaina). He also leaves his nephews David, Ryan (his wife Melanie and their children Chris and Krista), and Nathan as well as his niece Jennifer (her daughter Zoe).

Ron served as a Corpman in the Navy before being medically discharged due to service related injuries. He studied Biology and Zoology at Arkansas State and worked in numerous medical labs including St. Jude's using his expertise in Electron Microscopy.

A Memorial Service is April 20, 2024 at Woodridge Baptist Church at 1pm. A time of visitation will be held prior beginning at 12pm. Donations to St. Jude's would be greatly appreciated.
