Roger Brent Hill was born August 26, 1951 on a farm in Lynch, Nebraska. He went to go fishing with the Lord on February 16, 2015. He was a proud Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a recipient of the Bronze Star. Roger served as a police officer for the city of Delano, CA. He spent over 35 years driving cross country trucking. Roger enjoyed bowling and was a pro coach. He loved fishing and watching the Dallas Cowboys and New York Yankees. He collected John Deere tractors. Roger is survived by his loving wife Rebecca, brother Robert and wife Donna, mother and father-in-law Wilma and Kurt Drury, son Jayson and wife Jennifer, daughter Christy and husband Terry, and daughter Tonya and husband Jesse. He was most proud of his grandchildren Alyssa Lynn, Lyric, Chad, Tyler, Carter and Alyssa Kaye. Roger was preceded in death by is mother Naomi, and father Robert. A memorial service will be held on February 28, 2015 at 1:00pm at North Shreve Baptist Church, 4930 Old Mooringsport Rd, Shreveport, La 71107. The family would like to especially thank all of the doctors and health care personnel who loved and cared for Roger.
