Roger Phillip Hayes, 69, passed away on September 5, 2025, in Shreveport, Louisiana. Born on November 20, 1955, in the same city he called home throughout his life, Roger's journey was marked by devotion to his family, faith, and country.

Roger built a career as a computer draftsman at Alfa Welding, where his precision and dedication left a lasting impression. His work reflected not only technical skill but also a deep commitment to excellence and integrity.

He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Rhonda Turner Hayes; daughters Jennifer Hayes Wallette and her partner Aaron Leone, Candice Hayes Livingston, Sierra Hayes, and Sonya Hayes; sons Jeremy Hayes and his wife Jennifer, and Kevin Carter. Roger was a proud grandfather to Chris Wallette, Jason Wallette and his wife Danielle, Hannah and Jeremiah Hayes, and Anna McCorkle. He also cherished his great-grandchildren Guin and Natalie Wallette.

Roger is also survived by his brother Paul Hayes; sister Lori Lawson and her husband Mike; brothers-in-law Scott Brady and Mark Brady with his wife Shelia. His extended family and many friends will remember him with affection and gratitude for the love he shared so freely.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Loretta Ashby Hayes and Gene Hayes; his brother Larry Hayes; and sister-in-law Julie Hayes.

To know Roger was to love him. He loved God deeply, held his family close to his heart, and honored his country with pride. The family extends heartfelt thanks to the doctors and staff at Houston Methodist Hospital for their dedicated care during Roger's illness. Special appreciation is also given to the compassionate team at the Carpenter House for their support during his final days.
