Roger Harris passed away at the age of 73 on October 9, 2025.
Roger was outspoken, authentic, and had a strong work ethic. Roger found joy in the simple pleasures of country living— gardening, caring for his hobby farm, and working around his home. A true jack of all trades, Roger could fix just about anything and always found a way to get things done. He loved the outdoors, especially traveling to the mountains and tent camping under the stars.
Roger dedicated more than 30 years to his career in transportation, beginning as a bus driver and eventually retiring as a supervisor from a local bus company. He genuinely enjoyed interacting with passengers and appreciated the opportunity to explore many new places. In addition, he proudly served two terms as a constable. He later felt called to serve the Lord as a pastor for 4 years.
Of all his accomplishments, Roger was most proud of raising four children as a single father. He devoted his life to caring for his son, Richard, who has special needs. They had a special bond and you rarely saw one without the other.
Those left to cherish his memory are his children Robert Harris (Andromeda), Richard Harris, Christina Harris, and Phillip Harris; his grandchildren Will, Kathryn, Abigail, Elizabeth, Thomas, Gabriel, Alexandria, Jace, and PJ; many great-grandchildren; and his siblings Jackie Harris, Donnie Harris, and Patricia Jones.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Phillip and Edna Harris; his sister, Clara Harris; and his brother, Willie High.
Details of a memorial service will be shared with family and friends.
