Rodney "Dan" LeMay February 7, 1965 – June 10, 2026
Wonderful husband, devoted father, and a friend to so many, he never meet a single stranger. Rodney "Dan" LeMay, age 61, passed away on June 10, 2026. He was born to Tandy Rodney LeMay and Roselynn Robison LeMay on February 7, 1965. Dan graduated from Benton High School, Class of 1983. He played football (#83), where he excelled on and off the field. Dan was a licensed locksmith where he continued that career, self-employed, for over 35 years. Dan spent most of his free time with his son Ethan hunting and fishing. Dan LeMay was a very respected man and loved by all who knew him. He always had a story to tell about that big deer that he was always chasing.
Dan was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Roselynn Robison LeMay; his father, Tandy Rodney LeMay; his paternal grandparents, William Henry LeMay and Hazel Evelyn LeMay; and his maternal grandparents, Leo Robison and Vera Hicks Robison.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Melissa "Missy" Rodguiez; his beloved son, Ethan Rodney LeMay; his stepsons, Ashton Laferney and Kendall Laferney of Longview, Texas; his sisters, Kimberly LeMay Daigre Bogue and her husband, Brett Bogue, and Jean LeMay Beasley and her husband, Brad Beasley; his brother, Tandy "Ted" LeMay; his sister, Shonda Joan Henderson; his stepmother, Joni Henderson LeMay; his nieces, Madison Daigre Hays and her husband, Mason Hays, Bailey Erynn LeMay, Jaiden Jones, and Tandi "Toot Toot" Rose LeMay; his aunt, Loraine LeMay Moore and her husband, Leroy Moore; his uncles, Pete Robison, and Henry Robison and his wife, Sheila; his special cousins, Hank and Melissa Moore; along with numerous other extended family members, dear friends, and all whose lives were blessed by knowing him.
He will be deeply missed by all who were blessed by his love and friendship. A memorial service will be held Friday, June 19, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Faith Baptist Church in Waskom, Texas, with visitation beginning at 12:00 p.m. until service time.
