Robert Tidwell Stinson III, 76, died on Sunday, January 29, 2023, after a lengthy illness.

Rob was born on June 6, 1946, and was raised in Bossier City.  He graduated from Bossier High School in 1964 and from Louisiana State University with a bachelor's degree in Agriculture and was a member of Kappa Sigma Fraternity.  Rob was self-employed for much of his life as a farmer, home builder, truck driver, and in construction.  Rob also worked as a Building Inspector for Bossier City and served on the Bossier Parish Levee Board.

Rob never met a stranger, and he lived life to the fullest.  He traveled and hunted extensively.  There was never a conversation that he didn't mention his time contracting in New York and California.  His infectious smile was only surpassed by his passion.  Rob had a big heart and was always willing to help others.  He was a member of Benton Methodist Church and attended the Grumpy Old Men Sunday School class.  He assisted with numerous activities, including two mission trips to Mexico and rehab work to Camp Caney in Minden.  He will be greatly missed.

Rob was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Tidwell Stinson Jr. and Alison Burnett Stinson.

Rob is survived by his sister, Dana Alison Stinson; his two sons, Pat Hogan Stinson and wife, Ashley, and Robert T. "Bud" Stinson IV and wife, Lisa; and his four grandchildren, Elliotte Hogan, Anna Grace, Josie Annabeth, and Ivy Elizabeth.  Rob is also survived by his long-time dog companions, Lucky and Spot and by his good and faithful friend, Mark Yawn.

At his request, a celebration of life will be held on the grounds of his home at 220 Cash Point Road, Bossier City, Louisiana, on March 25th at 1:00 PM.  In case of inclement weather, the celebration will be held at Benton Methodist Church.
