On Saturday, October 7, 2023, Robert Lee Ronco, Sr., age 71, of Shreveport, LA, passed away after complications from a recent hip surgery. Beloved husband to Betty A. (Wunstell) Ronco; son of the late James N. Ronco and the late Betty A. Hren; loving father of Robert Jr. (Michelle), Sherry (Paul) Trosclair, Anna (Michael) Gaither, and Bonnie (Joshua) Huddleston; grandfather of Savanna, Breanna, Hanna, Malina, Abby, Johnathan, Tyler, Amelia, Samuel, Sophia, Caleb; brother of Nicholas Ronco, brother-in-law of Lisa Ronco.  Robert, sometimes known as Bobby, Roc, or Paw-Paw was an electronic technician, professional chef, and a jack of all trades.  He also proudly served his country in the US Army as a cryptology technician.  He was always in search of good ingredients and meals, often sending his daughters on food runs.  Robert enjoyed watching the LSU Tigers on Saturdays and NASCAR races on Sundays.  He loved being a Paw-Paw, always up for a good laugh with the grand-children.  When he'd smile or laugh, you'd feel the warmth of his soft heart.  A Celebration of Life will be held in Shreveport, LA on Saturday, November 18, 2023. The specific details of the celebration are yet to be determined.  In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations to be made in Robert's honor to Dementia Society of America (https://www.dementiasociety.org/).
