Graveside services for Robert Edward Lee, 85, will be held on Wednesday, January 12, 2022, at 2:00pm at the Keatchie Cemetery in Keatchie, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Charles Adams.
Robert died on January 9, 2022, following a brief illness. He was born on July 4, 1936, to Jacob Martin Lee and Eva Bryant Gamble Lee. Sgt. Major "Bob" Lee actively served in the U.S. Army following high school and the Reserves thereafter. He worked at SWEPCO as a marketing consultant before retiring in 1993. Always active, Robert did not slow down after retirement. He enjoyed many activities/hobbies including sawmill, woodworking, construction, electrical, gardening and other "whatnots" that allowed him to get out and meet people. In addition, his family and community will be forever grateful for his many accomplishments during the time he passionately served on the Board for DeSoto Fire District 2 and DeSoto Parish EMS.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death in November of 2021 by his wife of 37 years, Victoria M. Lee. Also, preceding him in death: Lilha Lafield (sister); James Lee (brother); Stephen Speights, husband of Cindy; Denise Mathew, wife of Rusty.
He is survived by his daughters, Terri Earnest and husband, Joey, Pam Dunlap, and Kelly Lee. Grandchildren, Justin and wife Jennifer, Katie Smith and husband, Matthew, Taylor, Connor and Stuart.
Bob Pop's extended family include Elizabeth Adams and husband, Michael; Alan Speights; Jonathon Speights and wife, Tanya; Michael Speights; Brad Mathews and wife, Jamie; Chris Nash and wife, Kim; Steven Speights and wife, Elizabeth; Jason Nash and wife, Amber; Jeremy Mathews and wife, Jordan; Jared Nash and wife, Tammy; Caitlin Burnett and husband, Chase; Hunter Speights and wife, Lily; and 14 great-grandchildren.
