Robert "Bobby" Adams Jr., age 85, of Shreveport, Louisiana, passed away on September 19, 2023, in Shreveport. Born on June 30, 1938, in Shreveport, Bobby was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Bobby first loved The Lord and was a devoted member of Open Range Fellowship. He found joy in worship and drew strength from his faith. Bobby also had a passion for motorcycles, good food made with love, and being around family and friends. He enjoyed reading his Bible and history books, as well as building and flying model aircraft in his later years.
Bobby served his country proudly in the Army from August 28, 1961, to August 27, 1963. He was drafted and served with distinction, embodying the values of honor, courage, and commitment.
After his military service, Bobby pursued a career with the Bell Telephone Company and retired in 1993. His dedication and hard work were evident throughout his professional life.
In addition to his career accomplishments, Bobby cherished his family. He leaves behind his beloved wife Frances and children Jimmy, Tracy, Tammy and husband Butch, Aaron and wife Jenna, and Jonathan. He was a proud grandfather to 12 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Bobby is also survived by his brother Jack Adams and wife Susanne, sister Patti Underwood and husband John, and sister-in-law Carolyn Adams,and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Robert J Adams and wife Janie, mother Edna M Deen and husband Charles (Red), and brothers, Randy Adams and Coby Adams.
A celebration of life service for Bobby will be held at Open Range Fellowship October 6th 10:30am, visitation 9:30-10:30 located at 9950 US-80 Greenwood, Louisiana. The service will honor his memory and the impact he had on the lives of those around him.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Bobby's name can be made to Open Range Fellowship, where he found solace and community.
Bobby's warm smile, kind heart, and genuine love for his family and friends will be deeply missed. May his soul rest in peace, and may his memory be a source of comfort and inspiration to all who knew him.
