Richard "Ricky" G. Cooper, age 53, passed away on October 14, 2022. He was born on November 18, 1968 in Orange, Texas to Richard T. Cooper and Frances "Diane" O'Brian Cooper. Ricky was an avid hunter and fisherman.  He enjoyed anything outdoors.  Ricky's true passion was working on guns. He was an excellent gunsmith and loved shooting in his spare time. Ricky was a great mentor to many and loved teaching others who were willing to learn.  He enjoyed family get togethers so he could showcase his talents on the grill.  Ricky was an excellent cook. Ricky had no children of his own but was a father figure to many.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents and parents.

Left to cherish his memory are his love, Deliah Cooper; sons Justin Lafitte and Bradley Burgess all of Stonewall, brother Robert Cooper and wife Elena of Orange, Texas; nephew Thomas Cooper. Also left to cherish his memory are many other relatives and friends.

A celebration of life will be held at The Event Center in Stonewall from 5-8pm on Friday, November 18, 2022. Ricky was loved by many and will be dearly missed.  Revelations 21:4 states, "He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning nor crying nor pain any more, for the former things have passed away."
