Richard K. Hargons, age 63, of Shreveport, Louisiana passed away Saturday, October 17, 2015 at the Northwest Louisiana War Veterans Home in Bossier City. He was born on July 3, 1952 on Clark Air Force Base in the Philippines to Richard C. and Mary Hargons. He was a 20 year retired veteran of the United States Air Force, serving in both Vietnam and Desert Storm. Afterwards he taught airframe mechanics at Southern University in Shreveport for many years. A special thanks goes to the Pierremont Dialysis Center, Northwest Nephrology Group, Dr. Gazi Zibari, Dr. Gordon Mead, Dr. Paul Cole, Mr. Dave Fogleman, and all the staff at the War Veteran's Home. Mr. Hargons was preceded in death by his parents, brother Michael Hargons, and sister Lynn Hargons. Survivors include his significant other of twenty-one years Donna Johnson, Aunt Martha Self, Aunt Betty Jean Jones, and numerous other relatives and friends.
