Richard Fleming Collins, went to be with his Lord Jesus on November 9th, 2021. He died peacefully within his home in Shreveport, Louisiana.

A memorial service for Richard Collins will be held Thursday, November 11th, at 2PM at Aulds Funeral Home, Shreveport, LA. Dr. Gevan Spinney will be officiating.

Richard was born in Shreveport, Louisiana on March 4th,1938. He spent 55 years happily married to his wife Margie who passed in 2019. He enjoyed spending time with his family who loved him dearly.

As a young man he learned to work hard and provide for his family. Richard proudly spent his working career at Swepco where he made many friends and later retired from. He loved the outdoors and spent much of his time gardening and hunting. He had a green thumb and was proud of everything from his garden. Richard also enjoyed feeding and watching the hummingbirds.

He was preceded in death by his parents Floyd and Linnie Collins, and wife Margie Collins. He is survived by his daughter Jana Pruiett, son Richard Collins, Jr., grandchildren Brandon Pruiett and Laura Farabee, Jonathan and Amber Birdwell, sister Lillian Stroud, Jade Porter and numerous nieces and nephews along with other beloved friends and relatives.
