August 5, 1964 – July 16, 2025
Rhonda J Scaife, age 60, also affectionately known as, Jelly Bean, of Belmont, Louisiana, passed away on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, in Shreveport, LA. She was born in Reading, MA to the late Robert E Dodge Sr. and Joyce Thompson on August 5,1964.
Rhonda retired from Royal Carribean in September of 2011. Also in 2011, she met the love of her life, Timothy Scaife, of Belmont, Louisiana, and eventually joined him there to make that her residence as well. They married on June 8, 2013.
Rhonda loved people and was the spark of any party, she was happiest when she was around people. She loved to spend time with her family and friends surrounding her celebrating anything. She loved life, her favorite holidays to celebrate were the Fourth of July and New Years because of her love of fireworks and cooking outside. She loved to see people eating her food and celebrating. She loved to travel, her and Tim would take 2 to 3 cruises a year, it was her favorite thing to do. Rhonda also loved gardening and working in her yard she could spend hours if not all day working in the yard planting flowers and mowing and taking care of her yard. She was a happy soul always with a big smile on her face
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Dodge Sr. and Virginia Dodge; birth mother, Joyce Reid; brothers, Robert Dodge jr. and David A. Dodge; and sister, Chris Stanley.
Rhonda is survived by husband, Tim Scaife, sons, Mathew Scaglione and wife, Dana and Michael Scaglione and wife, Gabby; daughter, Jessica Guerreo and husband, Paul; sisters, Debbie Murray and husband, Mike; Donna Christianson, and Joan and husband, Chuck; and grandchildren, Anthony, Avanna, Jaden, Brooklyn, Dailie Ray, Marshall, and Little A.
Rhonda was very claustrophobic and always said, "Don't put me in a box when I go." She always said she wanted to be cremated and scatter her ashes in the ocean.
A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
