Obituary

Services for Raymond Earl Logue will be held at 6PM Friday, July 7,2023 at Aulds Funeral Home 7849 King Hwy, Shreveport, La 71115

Raymond was born to Ethal Kay Logue and Locas Harris Logue in Vicksburg Mississippi. Raymond served honorably in the U.S Navy 1959~1965. Upon leaving the service Raymond went to work as a truck driver which he did for his entire career. He retired from Jack Cooper Transit in 2006 with a spotless driving record. In Raymonds free time his passion besides family and working on the house or in the yard was music. He played several instruments and sang. The drums were his favorite. He was known all over the area for the bands he was in through the years and any time there was open mic night he was there and a crowd favorite. He so loved country music and was a huge fan and an uncanny resemblance to Willie Nelson. Nobody did "Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain" better than Willie than possibly Raymond. When not working or playing music he enjoyed drifting across Cross Lake with his son and catching catfish. He also loved scouring the "thrift shops" and pawn shops looking for that next "great deal", with his best friend Glynda Brown.

Raymond was a member of Brookwood Baptist Church. He so loved attending church at Brookwood and being with his extended family there. That became such a special part of his life.

He was proceeded in death by his parents, his high school sweetheart and wife Shirley Hill, his daughter Constance Brocato and granddaughter Casey Lyn Horton along with 7 brothers and 2 sisters.

He is survived by his daughter Judy Horton and husband Kerry, son Jason Logue, daughter Kayla Dial and husband Nick, daughter Deanna Darbro and husband Gregg. He was also survived by 6 grandkids, Joey Wall and wife Haley, Nickie Slosson and husband Ryan, Cody Horton, Zachary Logue, Devin Logue and wife Alexandria, Annabelle Dial and 11 great grandchildren.

Raymond was the Patriarch in our family that cannot be duplicated and will always be missed.
