Peggy Jean "Jeannine" Mitchell
July 16, 1942-January 29, 2025
Peggy Jean Mitchell, affectionately known as "Jeannine" by her loved ones, went home to be with the Lord on January 29, 2025.
Born on July 16, 1942, to Felix Eugene Bryant and Jacqueline Bennett Bryant, Peggy Jean was full of spirit, determination, and love. She treasured her childhood summers in South Louisiana, where she spent time with her many aunts, uncles, and extended family, forming bonds that lasted a lifetime.
Despite leaving school after the ninth grade, Peggy Jean was fiercely independent and hardworking. She built a successful career as a hairstylist, dedicating herself wholeheartedly to her clients, friends, and family; Her warmth and charm were undeniable-she never met a stranger, only a friend she hadn't spoken to yet.
Above all, Peggy Jean was devoted to her family. She is survived by her brother, Tom E. Bryant; her daughters, Suzanne Cobb and Debbie McAnelly (husband Gary); her grandson, Jade Cobb; and her great-grandson, Aiden Cobb.
She is now reunited in Heaven with her parents, her brother Danny Bryant, and her beloved son, Eddie Eugene Mitchell.
Her love, laughter, and unwavering strength will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
