Peggy C. (Blake) Ferebee passed away on Monday, March 4, 2024 at age 89 at her home in Shreveport Louisiana surrounded by her children.

Peggy was born January 20, 1935 in Muskogee OK, to the late Thomas Edwin and Addie Blake. She was the youngest of 6 children, all of whom have preceded her in death. Peggy graduated from Oakdale High School in 1954 and attended Modesto Jr. College in Nutritional studies. In 1956 she married Douglas C. Ferebee (who preceded her in death). She is survived by her two children.Son Clive and wife Fanny, and daughter Brenda and husband Tom Dalton. Four grandchildren: Katrina and David Carr, Rachel and Christopher Maher, Rosalie and Nathaniel Hartos, and Matthew Dalton. Two great grandchildren Charlotte and Emily Maher.

A devout Christian, Peggy led a life marked by her unwavering faith and zest for traveling across the US by car to lend a hand or just visit friends and family, especially her grandchildren. Her pastimes were a reflection of her gentle spirit and keen mind, finding joy in the simple pleasures of reading, solving puzzles, and the art of sewing. She was a member of the Tuscan Chapter Order of Eastern Star and Rebekah 1.0.0.F.Lodge of Kearney, NE.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to Christian Center of Shreveport (Threads of Love), or charity that holds personal significance.

Her kindness and devout commitment to her faith and family will be forever cherished in the memories of those who knew her.
