Peggy Toney Cupit, born October 21, 1946, was called home peacefully surrounded by her family at 2:30 pm on June 24, 2019 at Glenwood Regional Medical Center in Monroe . Peggy was a devoted and beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great grandmother.

Peggy's life began in Readland, Arkansas. She and her twin sister were the next to youngest of 9 children born to a Pentecostal minister. She married Ray Cupit on April 5, 1964 and they shared their lives together for the next 55 years. They had 5 children, two sons and three daughters, and a multitude of grandchildren and great grandchildren. She cherished her family greatly and they were of the utmost importance to her. She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by so many.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Ray Cupit and her children; Johnny Cupit and wife Brea of Tallulah, LA, Jimmy Cupit of Oak Grove, LA, Patty Billiot and husband Joey of Pyatt, AR, Sandy Gayle and husband Frankie of Tallulah, LA, Becky Sargent and husband Tim of Delhi, LA; 14 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, her twin sister, Lorraine Cherry and numerous nieces and nephews.

The loved ones that she followed home were her mother and father, Thomas and Myrtle Toney, brothers; Thomas Toney Jr., Wesley Toney, Carl Toney, Sonny Toney, and Paul Toney; and sisters Billie Jean Turnage and Pauline Grey.

The celebration of Peggy's life will begin at 11:00 am on Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at Pentecost Tabernacle in Delhi, LA with Bro. Dan Stansbury officiating. Food will be served to the family immediately following the service.
