Paul Frederick Belcher 

It is with profound sadness and broken hearts that we announce the passing of Paul Frederick Belcher, age 57, on June 18, 2026. Paul will always be remembered for the love and affection he showed family and friends. After a courageous and long battle with depression, Paul’s pain became unbearable.

Paul graduated from Centenary College with a focus on technical theatre. He subsequently moved to La Jolla, California, furthering his passion for set design and lighting.

Paul’s clever and perceptive humor was undeniable. He possessed a keen intellect with outstanding problem-solving abilities. These skills lead him on a wide and diverse work journey that included: computers and electronics, coordinator of various programs, film and theater production, admissions for Centenary College, and as a student advisor for Bossier Parish Community College.

Beyond his work life, Paul excelled in Astral Photography. He enjoyed cycling and anything Crimson Tide. Paul’s technological wizardry kept family and friend’s blood pressure within normal range. Paul was a Toyota Master, and free mechanical savior to many.

Paul is predeceased by his parents; Howard Clinton Belcher, Jr., Ruth Kyle Fowler Belcher, and brother, Howard Clinton Belcher III.

Paul is survived by his sister, Christina Kyle Belcher and his other mother, Miss Louvina Smith. He is also survived by his maternal cousins, Janet Fowler, Suzie Fowler and sons Kyle Matthews and Robert Matthews. He also leaves behind paternal cousins, Barbara Reganstein, Susan McMillion and her family.

Additionally, Paul leaves a multitude of good friends including, Anne Marie Bruner-Tracey, husband Eamonn and Michelle Boutte.

A memorial service will be announced and held at a later date.
