Obituary

Patty Kay Owens was born July 27, 1951 and went home to be with the Lord on March 22, 2022. She was born in Winnfield, LA to the parents of Patsy Elaine Longino and Alton Marvin Owens. She is preceded in death by her parents; sisters Angela Maria Owens, and Vicki Lynn Byram. She is survived by sister Judy Elizabeth Edwards and husband Bruce, sister Michelle Leigh Owens; brother-in-law Jeff Byram; daughters Heather Christa Willingham and husband Harley, and Tosha Alexa Thrasher; grandchildren Landon and Bailey Willingham, Nicola Callahan and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

At a young age Patty and her siblings moved to Shreveport as their mother Patsy and father Alton Owens sought out a good place to raise their family. As a teenager Patty had many things that she was very passionate about. In the late 60s she pursued a career as a model in the Shreveport area and loved being an entertainer. She as a voice for children about our Savior and his plan and our purpose of this life. One of her many accomplishments she acquired was being a poetess. Some of her poems re published in the library of congress. She will be most remembered for being a kind, wonderful, loving, sweet loving mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, and friend.

She was a voice for children who were mistreated and abused. She loved and taught her children about the savior and his plan and our purpose of this life.

One of her many accomplishments she acquired  was being a poetess. Some of her poems are published in the Library of Congress. She was also a writer-- she often took the time to write and send personal letters and greeting cards to family and friends, as well as writing her thoughts, feelings and memories, ideas, which was also a theraputic outlet. She was also artistic and creative, and had a loving talent of making a precious child smile, and feel loved and validated.

She will be remembered most for being a kind, wonderful, loving, sweet mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, friend.
