Elder
d. Aug 16, 2026
Patsy Elder, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and woman of deep Christian faith, passed away on August 16, 2026, at the age of 73. Patsy was born on May 24, 1953, in Pineville, Louisiana, to Claude and Eula Humphries. Throughout her life, her love for the Lord was at the center of who she was. A devout Christian, Patsy found strength, comfort, and joy in her faith and especially enjoyed listening to gospel music. Her devotion to God was reflected in the way she lived her life and in the love she shared with her family.
Above all, Patsy treasured her family. She cherished the years shared with her husband, Robert Elder, and took great pride in her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. The love she gave and the memories she created will remain with those who knew and loved her.
Patsy was preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Eula Humphries, and her brother, Albert Humphries.
Left to cherish her memory are her beloved husband, Robert Elder; her sons, Peter Elder and Lewis Elder; her daughter, Tamina Ewing; her grandson, Joshua Elder; her granddaughters, Hannah and Sarah; two great-granddaughters; her sisters, Elizabeth Scott and Diane Gaspard; her brother, Rodney Humphries; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
