Patricia Ruth Pruitt Ray, age 82, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 19, 2016. She was born on June 6, 1934 in Houston, Texas. She was a member of Kings Temple United Pentecostal Church, was a pastor's wife for twenty four years, a special education teacher, and teacher at KCA, and a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Ulysses S. Pruitt, Sr, (married 1951) for forty one years; Husband Limon T. Ray (married 2003) for seven years, and her mother Lennie Mae Brown.

She is survived by five children, Judy Pruitt, Carol Pruitt, Ulysses (Jay) Pruitt, Jr. (Teri), Laurie Pruitt, and Cynthia Armstrong (Gary); three grandchildren, Heather Demeny (John), Jennifer McGarrity (James), and Kristopher Armstrong (Brooke); Six great-grandsons and one great-granddaughter, and two sisters Dianne Mann (Jim) and Donna Black (Jon).

Funeral services will be held at 10am Saturday, October 22, 2016 at the Kings Temple United Pentecostal Church with Rev. Damon Magee, Rev. LeVan Thornton, and Bro. Craig Martin officiating. Serving as pallbearers are Kristopher Armstrong, Tyler Rogers-McDaniel, Jerry Pruitt, Mason Armstrong, Myles Armstrong, and Delma Carter. Visitation will be held from 6-8 pm on Friday, October 21, 2016 at Kings Temple United Pentecostal Church in Shreveport.
