"Patty" Primm
August 2, 1943 – June 8, 2023
Patricia Ann "Patty" Primm passed away after a six month battle with cancer on June 8, 2023 at Carpenter House Hospice Center at the age of 79. She was born August 2, 1943 to Ann Willis Zmek and Joseph Henry Zmek in Shreveport, Louisiana.
Patty attended Fair Park High School where she was a very active member of the Honor Legend's Drum and Bugle Corp and graduated in 1961. Patty started a long lasting on people through working with the public from Gibsons Department stores, then Pioneer Bank, to twenty-nine years at WESLA Federal Credit Union and then retired in 2005. But, oh no, she wasn't done, after a few years off she began a new career for Dr. Bill Norwood at Norwood Surgical/Willis Knighton Medical Center North for twelve years.
Patty was a dedicated wife and mother, and member of the Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints Church.
Patty was preceded in death by her parents Ann Zmek and Joe Zmek, and a sister Margret Zmek.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 61 ½ years Bobby Primm; son Robert Primm and wife Maureen; granddaughter Katelyn Mock and husband Wes of Redmond, OR; step granddaughters Savannah Langdon Smith and Jessica Smith of Lufkin, Texas; step great granddaughter Jaycee Smith of Lufkin, Texas; sister Jean Long and husband Daryl of Carrollton, Texas; sister Mary Ebarb of Shreveport, Louisiana, and a host of nieces and nephews.
The family request that donations be made to Shriner Children's Hospital or St. Jude Children's research in Patty's name. The family wishes to extend heartfelt gratitude to the Willis Knighton Cancer Center, Stat Home Health, St. Joseph's Hospice, and staff at The Carpenter House.
