Patricia "Pat" Shinn Morrison, aged 86, of Shreveport, Louisiana, passed away peacefully in her sleep on February 14, 2025.

She is survived by her brother: Frank Shinn, children: Melissa Morrison, Cyrus Morrison III and Toby Morrison, as well as her grandchildren: Justin Morrison, Jessica Shirley, Jared Shirley, Jacob Morrison, Nicholas Morrison and Brooklyn Morrison.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Cyrus Morrison, Jr. (married 1955), son, Cyrus Russell "Rusty" Morrison, parents Cecil and Reola Shinn, and brother Cecil Shinn.

Pat, known to her family as Mamaw, exuded a warmth and tenderness of spirit which was appreciated and cherished by those fortunate enough to know her. Her generous and accepting nature and ability to embrace loved ones and strangers alike and to share kindness with all was a God-given gift. Pat was the glue, the foundation and the framework of her family; she loved them with unwavering loyalty and dedication and with rarely a thought for her own needs, making all of their lives better for it. She loved working on her plants and flowers in the garden, cooking delicious down-home meals and hosting guests (even those uninvited), no matter how many. She also reveled in time with her family, particularly her grandchildren.

Pat's sweetness, gentleness, grace, patience and dignity will never be forgotten and will live on in the memories of her family and those who knew her. Rest in peace, Mamaw. We will all miss you very much.
