Pamela Sue Laskin List, 69, passed away peacefully in her sleep on September 9, 2026. Pam was born in Lorain, Ohio, on August 26, 1957. She made her home in Stonewall, Louisiana, for 46 years with her husband, Jimmy.

Pam was a loving wife, sister, aunt, great-aunt, godmother, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She had a special love for cooking and found great joy in preparing meals and desserts for the people she loved. Her kitchen was a place where family gathered, memories were made, and love was shared through the food she prepared.

Pam was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Beverly Laskin; her brother, Jay Laskin; her sister, Penny Melvin; and her nephew, Tony Adams.

She is survived by her husband, James List; her sisters, Peggy (Billy) Lyles of Mansfield, Charlene Rushing of Benton, and Mary (Bobby) Baker of Stonewall; and her sisters- and brothers-in-law, Debbie (Raul) Garcia of Stonewall, Dawn (JR) Towery of Blanchard, Holly List of Stonewall, and Eddie Melvin of Stonewall.

Pam is also survived by her two special godchildren, who were blessed to also be her niece and nephew, Julia (Jose) Barbo of Stonewall and Chas (Anna) Baker of Shreveport.

She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews: April Romano, Daniel Lyles, Tatum (Andy) Flick, Shelly (Chad) Thornton, Madison (Maria) Cox, Beth Mabry, Kendall Melvin, Stefani (Korey) Brown, Raul (Vi) Garcia, Frank (Mariah) List, Joey (Kimmy) List, Heather (Jonathan) Dye, Alexis (Jonathan) Kimberlin, and Nick (Victoria) Taglavore. She also leaves behind her loving great-nieces and great-nephews, as well as extended family members in Ohio.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of WKP ICU, the Step-Down Unit, the doctors at WK Cancer Center, and St. Joseph’s Hospice for the compassionate care, comfort, and support they provided to Pam and her family during her final days.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made in Pam’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or to a charity of your choice.

A memorial service will be held at Northwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, 7970 Mike Clark Road, Keithville, Louisiana 71047, on September 28, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. A reception will follow immediately at the Barbo residence.

In honor of Pam, the family invites everyone to wear purple or LSU colors to celebrate her favorite color and favorite team.
