Opal Stroud Garner was born on  November 10, 1926 in Montgomery, LA , and died August 10, 2023 in Shreveport, LA. She was a loving wife and mother of three, and a devout follower of Christ.

Opal is preceded in death by her parents, George and Bertha Stroud, and her late husband, Charles E. Garner. She leaves her three daughters, Sheryl Middlebrooks, Rebecca Holland, and Susan McCalman, 7 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and dozens of quilts for them all.

Opal's family wishes to thank all her caregivers at The Glen and LifePath Hospice.

A memorial service will be held at Aulds Funeral Home Saturday, August 19, at 10 am.
