O'Neal Boyd Pounders, Jr. (OB Pounders)

March 6, 1951, to February 18, 2024

It is with great sadness that the family of O'Neal Boyd Pounders, Jr. (Neal) of Keithville, LA., is announcing his passing at home on February 18, 2024. Neal was born in Shreveport, graduated from Woodlawn High School and got his Bachelor of Science degree from Northwestern State University in Natchitoches. He was a physicist, real estate developer, engineer, and inventor. Neal developed Hideaway Harbor Estates in Shreveport, LA., and River Bluff Subdivision, with riverfront properties on Red River, in Bossier City, LA.

Neal is survived by his son, Jason Pounders, owner of Pounders Automotive in Haughton, LA., his sisters Nancy Dailey, and Cathy Campbell Mosley both of San Antonio, TX., and his sister, Dee Sellers of Milton, FL.; his nephews  Corey Dailey, Chad Readhimer and Joel Mosley, and his niece Erica Paige Gardner, and a whole bunch of cousins. He is also survived by his lifelong friend, Beverly Huddleston.

He is predeceased by his father, O'Neal Boyd Pounders, Sr., his mother, Wanda Rebecca Hardin Jones, his stepfather, Boyd M. Jones, and stepmother, Billie Ann Pounders.

Neal enjoyed scuba diving, country western and ballroom dancing and working on his inventions. He was a pilot and black belt in karate.
