Odie Gene (Harpman Odie) Sparks
Odie passed away at the Grace Home on May 10, 2016 after a brief illness. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, who touched many lives. He was a sub-contractor for 50 years and made many friends along the way. Born in Batesville, Arkansas on August 17, 1941, and growing up in Shreveporty, he was known for his talented art work, taxidermy, and blues harp music. He loved to fish, duck hunt, play music and was a fun loving jokester.

He was a sub-contractor for 50 years and made many friends along the way. He loved to fish, duck hunt, play music and was a fun loving jokester.
He is preceded in death by his parents Odis and Dovie Sparks, and twin sister Dean Sparks Bennett.
He is survived by his loving wife Sherri Fairless Sparks, daughters Kristi Childers and husband Jay, and Lori Meshell. Grandchildren River and Carson Childers, Makala and Morgan Kennedy. Cousin Lane and Charlotte Longoria. His beloved poodles Lola and Luca, and big boy Conan.
