Obituary

Nancy Price passed away peacefully on October 10, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family and friends. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend whose kindness, strength, and loving spirit touched the lives of everyone who knew her.

Nancy found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved creating beautiful diamond art, spending hours working on puzzles, and enjoying card games with family and friends. Her creativity, patience, and warm heart were evident in everything she did.

Nancy's greatest pride was her family. She is survived by her children: Robert and Angela Thomas of Bossier City, Louisiana; Mark and Doffy Thomas of Kingwood, Texas; Detra and Kevin Lehman of Hempstead, Texas; and Elizabeth and David Murchison of Tyler, Texas.

She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren: Crystal and Randy of Stonewall, Louisiana; Jason and Leora of Ruston, Louisiana; Marshall and Sasha of Haughton, Louisiana; Cody and Alex of Mesa Arizona; Owen, Hayden, Wyatt, and Nolan of Hempstead, Texas; and April, Michael, Ariel, and Matthew of Tyler, Texas. Nancy treasured every moment spent with her grandchildren and loved them deeply.

She is further survived by her brothers, Donald Blanks of New Caney, Texas, and Glen Blanks of Livingston, Texas; and her sister, Doris Bynum of Fox, Arkansas.

Nancy is also lovingly remembered by her nieces and nephews: Emily Pursche of Temple, Texas; Stephanie Grosshandler of Katy, Texas; Danielle Wyman of Humble, Texas; Raymond Bynum of Ward, Arkansas; Darla Richardson of Fox, Arkansas; and Dawn Garner of Malvern, Arkansas.

Nancy was preceded in death by her beloved ex-husband, Robert Thomas; her brothers, Tommy Blanks, Rodger Blanks, and Robert Blanks; her adopted parents, Albert and Mary Scherrer; and her biological parents, Emzie Wade and Lena Blanks.

She also leaves behind numerous extended family members, dear friends, and loved ones whose lives were enriched by her kindness, generosity, and unwavering love.

Nancy will be remembered for her loving nature, her generous heart, her sense of humor, and the joy she brought to those around her. Though she is no longer with us, her legacy of love, compassion, and treasured memories will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

"Those we love don't go away; they walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard, but always near, still loved, still missed, and forever dear."

A celebration of Nancy's life will be held at a later date.

Forever loved, forever missed, forever remembered.

May she rest in peace.
