Nancy "Nana" Alice Morgan Franks was born September 25, 1936, in Logansport, Indiana to Carney and Dorothy Morgan. Nana passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on May 24,2024.

She was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Franks, parents Carney and Dorothy Morgan, and sister Carla Graydon.

Nana graduated from Logansport High School in Indiana. She graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology. She was a member of the Pi Beta Phi Sorority which she continued to be involved when she moved to Shreveport. She went on to receive her Masters from Louisiana Tech University in Microbiology. Nana retired from the VA Medical Center as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist.

Nana loved to travel, sew and spend time with her family and friends.

Nana is survived by her children Susie and Dana Wicks, Jill and Ronnie Madole, Ricky and Lauren Fox, Grandchildren: Craig and Sarah Jane Madole, Kelly and George Rangel, Caroline and Delton Smith, Jennifer and Timothy Brown and Cayman Fox. Great grandchildren: Emmaline, Archie, and Fisher Madole: Charlotte, Houston, and Thomas Brown and Eloise Rangel who all meant the world to her.

The family would like to thank the special staff from Loving Tender Care for their wonderful care and love for our Mom and Grandmother.

A service will be held on June 15, 2024, at 10:00 am at Sanders Chapel, 4231 Hwy 156, Winnfield, Louisiana, 71483.
