Shreveport, LA- Mildred Elaine Tastet (Millie), 68, passed away suddenly on Sunday October 11, 2015 from complications of surgery. Millie was born on 9th November 1946 in Donaldsonville, LA to Jink and Wilma Cockrell. A memorial service will be held at Summer Grove Baptist Church, Manna House 4 to 7pm on Thursday 15th October. Millie was raised in Haynesville, LA and graduated from Haynesville high school. Later Millie graduated from Ayers Business School and retired from LSU Medical Center as an accountant. After retirement Millie became Director of Nutrition for Meals on Wheels at CCOA. She is survived by her only beloved daughter Kristin Tastet of California, her sister Louise Copple, brother Kerry Cockrell, and many beloved nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents Jink and Wilma Cockrell. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Millie had a love of animals and in lieu of flowers donations can be made to any non-kill Animal shelter.
