Mickey Ray Owen was born on May 3, 1950 in Shreveport, La and entered into rest on Saturday,  May 27, 2017 in Greenwood, La.

He was preceded in death by his parents, David R. Owen Sr. and Sarah Evelyn Owen, three sisters and one brother. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 38 years, Carolyn Owen, sons James C. Bloodworth and Jason R. Owen, daughter Lisa M. Bloodworth , four grandchildren, Megan and Kaylee Bloodworth, Justin and Rae Ann Owen, two brothers, David R. Owen Jr. and Arnold Owen, two sisters, Mamie Keel and Ouida Muse and other cherished family members and friends.

Mickey was an avid hunter, fisherman, and loved all sports. He loved to spend hours at a time in his yard and working in his garden. He was a great cook and loved to cook for others. Mickey loved his family and friends with all his heart.

He had faith in Jehovah and his promise of a resurrection and that soon Jehovah will make the earth into a paradise where there will be no more sickness and death. He will be greatly missed by those who knew him and loved him.
