Michael was called Mike’y to all close to him. Mike’y was born May 18, 1960. Early Thursday morning, July, 23, 2026 he gave up a very long fight of diabetes and kidney failure. It was working for Chem Air and Fibrebond (field service) where he got to travel to so many different states. He use to say often. He has over a hundred thousand miles under him. He loved what he did. And tried to give his all to his work. However his health just no longer allowed him to do what he loved. He didn’t let that slow him down, he started creating sweet southern creations out of pallet boards and was very good at it. That’s how we supplemented our income for so long. But eventually the little wood working shop till the wee hours finally ended too. Life was very fragile.
But Mik’e kept fighting and his wife of 26 years married was beside him the entire way. She loved with all her heart and kept on keeping on with all the hospital stays, the transplant, all the dialysis treatments. And then there was the kidney transplant rejection, and the lengthy home hemo dialysis while she worked as a Cosmetologist.
Mik’e was born May 18, 1960. He was 66 years. He is proceeded in death by his parents, Larkin and Ruth Stanley, his brothers, Don Stanley and George “Buddy” Stanley and his nephew , Keith Stanley.
He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Tina Halford Stanley, of Minden,LA. a daughter, April Stanley and D’Carrio Wilson (father of his granddaughter) all of Shreveport, LA. Step daughter, Pamela King Irby and Husband, Derek Irby, of Minden, LA. , Stepdaughter, Keli King of Minden, LA. Nephew, Steven Stanley and wife, Erica and their children, all from , TX. Nephew, Chris Stanley from Shreveport, LA. Sister In law, Ruth Stanley from Bossier City, LA. , Sister In Law, Melissa Stanley from Bossier City, LA. He also is survived by grandchildren, Baylee Irby from Minden, LA, Alaina Stanley from Shreveport, LA. Then he has three grandsons, Beau Irby, Tanner King, and Tevyn Moffett, all from Minden, LA. He was survived with one Neice, Beth and her husband John Michael Moore from Bossier City, LA. He was survived with a nephew, James Halford and his wife, Angela , from Memphis, TN. He also had several great nieces and nephews.
He loved story telling, all his adventures on the road, and he loved NASCAR RACING AND DIRT TRACK RACING. And of course, we can’t leave out Wrestling!
There will be a Memorial Service Wednesday at Aulds Funeral Home , July 29,2026 at 2:00 PM , it will be officiated by Randall Miller from Minden, LA.
It will be a casual occasion, Mik’e wasn’t a fancy person, if it was up to him, he’d want all his buddies to wear their cap if their heart so desires. He loved his caps! We want to send a sincere Thank You out to Willis Knighton Hospice and Homebound Health nurses. And a huge thank you to The LA Northwest Nephrology Clinic in Shreveport, LA. As well as the Transplant Road on Greenwood Toad in Shreveport , LA. And all that have been by his side wit Fresenius Dialysis Center both in Shreveport, LA and Minden, LA. And he adored Dr. Jones with Willis Knighton Shreveport, LA. A special Thank you to all who has helped us in any way through this journey. We give Jesus all the praise. Thankful for all the many prayer warriors who continue to lift Mike’s family. God Bless You All.
