Michael Neely Leigh (52) passed away Saturday April 24,2021 from complication to COVID. A native of Minden, LA, he spent 20 years in Birmingham, AL before returning home a few years ago. Michael was a Staff Sargent in the US Army and served his country honorably for 12 years. He loved his family and LSU football. He is survived by his sons, Nicholas Allen Jolly, of Birmingham, AL and  Anthony Lamar Sachs (Hannah) of Hot Springs, AR; His three grandchildren-Addison, Reese and Silas; his sister Michele Leigh Farris of Shreveport, LA; his aunt, Elaine Kirby Tabor of Hendersonville, NC; and, his best friend of 25 years, Patrick Bryant of Shreveport, LA. He's preceded in death by his father Walter Neely Leigh, Jr of Minden, LA and his mother Patsy Ruby Kirby of Hendersonville, NC. Michael has chosen cremation, and no formal services will be held. The family will be holding a private celebration of life in Shreveport, LA on Monday April 26, 2021. In lieu of flowers, please make donation to the Wounded Warrior Project in honor of Michael Leigh.
