Michael Lane Gillespie, 61, of Doyline ,  set forth on his final ride to the great beyond on Friday, September 11th, 2020. Mike was born in Shreveport, Louisiana, March 10th, 1959, to Linda and Jim Gillespie.

In his early years, Mike proudly served in the U. S. Air force as a B-52 gunner.  He was a free spirit, who had a real exuberance for life and those around him. He loved animals and nature, was an artist and tattooer , with a passion for motorcycles and the open road. Mike was a traveler and a seeker of truth that never backed down from a tough situation and, as many others that grew up in the 60's and 70's, dutifully questioned authority.

He is survived by his father, Jim; son, Colby and his wife, Ashley; 3 brothers, Mark, Jay, and Larry; grandchildren, Azlyn and Isabelle, along with countless other friends, acquaintances, and loved ones.
