Melvin Linear, Jr. was born October 25, 1992 to Laura Linear and Melvin Linear and passed away August 15, 2024.

Melvin was a joyous, caring, and beautiful soul. He would help and support his friends and family any way he could and loved to make people laugh with his "goofy" sense of humor. He had a passion for music and had talent for mixing music. But his deepest love was for his son, Zamarion, who was his greatest pride and joy.

Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Laura Linear; son, Zamarion Linear; mother to his son, Garynesha Myles; aunts, Ethel Lee Williams and Carolyn Sue Williams; uncle, Richard E. Williams; and a host of family and friends.

Melvin will be greatly missed. Melvin brought light and life to everyone around him. His family and friends loved him so much but we have comfort in knowing that God loved him even more.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggest donations to the Shreveport-Bossier Rescue Mission, 901 McNeil St., Shreveport, LA 71101.
