Max was born on March 2,1954 in Shreveport, Louisiana to Floyd Smith, Jr. and Jean Smith and passed away suddenly on November 17, 2021 at 4:27pm.
Max was an avid cook. He loved cooking for large groups and for his family. He loved watching the LSU Tigers play and hearing about his grandkids. He took pride in his catering business at the local farmers markets "Maxie's Place". He was strong in his faith in the Lord and loved his family very much. He proudly served his country for 7 years in the armed forces in the Army division and 6 years in the National Guard division of the Military. He loved people and was loved by many. He will be joining his 1st grandchild, Ethan Binger, in Heaven.
Max is survived by his father, Floyd Smith, Jr. and his mother Jean Smith. His brother Tracy Smith and his sister Wanda Goodwin (Smith). His daughters Kimberly Fleener (Smith), Janet Binger and Kathryn Bratburd. His grandchildren Ashley Binger, Logan Flores, Hunter Adams, Carter Albertson, Cora Albertson and Everly Fleener. His nieces and nephew Catie Williams, Chad Smith and Rachel Smith. Also a special mention of his previous wife of 30 years Patricia Cafaro (Smith). As well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. We all will miss you greatly. Your light shined bright in this world.
Services for Maxie Lane Smith will be held on Monday, November 22, 2021 at Trinity Heights Baptist Church, 3820 Old Mooringsport Road, Shreveport, Louisiana 71107. The visitation will begin at 3:00 p.m. followed by the memorial service at 4:00p.m.
