In loving memory of Mattie "Lucy" Lucille Etheredge, born on September 5th, 1950 in Des Arc, Arkansas and passed away on December 30th, 2023 in Shreveport, Louisiana. A visitation will be held on January 5th, 2023 at 10am until the time of the service at 11am. All will take place at Aulds Funeral Home, 7849 E. Kings Hwy, Shreveport, LA 71115.

She is predeceased by her husband, Jimmy Ray Etheredge, and her sisters, Mary Sandifer and Janie Redding. She is survived by her son, Jimmy Scott Etheredge (Sachiko Etheredge) and daughter, Paula Dunn, as well as her granddaughters: Megan Wright (Jessica Wright, Leonardo Salyers), Allison Etheredge, and Elizabeth Etheredge, and her sisters Julia Cloud (Don Kiser) and Irma McDuff.

Lucy's life was a testament to her pure strength and willpower. Although she ultimately succumbed to her heart failure, she managed to live over a decade longer than her original life expectancy. Lucy could conjure up work for anyone within earshot, yet she always made sure to have a meal ready for anyone who stepped foot into her home. It can be said that she showed her love by cooking for those around her and having food ready promptly at "dinner time" (1-2pm in her mind), as long as they took their shoes off before entering into her home.

Throughout her life, she enjoyed fishing, gardening, horses, dogs, and chickens. Although one of her most likely descriptions is "tough," anyone lucky enough to be loved by Lucy knew that she would do anything and give anything for them without a second thought.

Jimmy "Scotty" Etheredge will be officiating the service and pallbearers will be TJ Flores, Chris Miller, Jay McDuff, Jordan McDuff, Michael Redding, and Will Redding.
