Heaven rejoiced in celebration on May 1, 2018, as one of its most beautiful angels returned home. Mary Frances Woodruff Tait graced the earth on November 1, 1931, born to Fred Woodruff and Mary Frances Chappell. A graduate from the inaugural class of Northwestern State University College of Nursing in Shreveport, Louisiana, her career in nursing spanned an impressive 50 years.

Mary was a lover of knowledge. Her sharp wit and fun-loving sense of humor endeared her to everyone.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents, two older brothers Fred Woodruff, Jr. and Bob Woodruff, as well as her beloved Weimaraner, Gunthar. She is survived by her family, who will miss her dearly; son Steve Wagner (Mary Ann) of Key West, FL, daughter Mandy Gorham (Richard) of Shreveport, LA, four grandchildren (Matt, Clay, Katie and Ali) and five great-grandchildren (Connor, Finn, Hyrum, Cal and Breccan).
