Mary Sue Bryant Rogers, 82, passed away peacefully on January 16th, 2023, from complications of cancer. She was born on November 25, 1940 in Shreveport, LA to Cloyd and Reta Bryant, and grew up with her two older sisters, Anne Bryant Kirkus and Eleanor Bryant deGraffenreid.. She graduated from Fair Park High and obtained a B.A. in English from Louisiana College. After raising four sons (Mike, Ben, Scotty and Joe McGlothlin), she taught English in several high schools in the Ark-La-Tex area.
Music and writing were major loves of her life. A convert to Catholicism, she sang for the St. Joseph's choir, and also sang in other local events. She also loved writing down the stories from her childhood, as well as poetry and romantic fiction. She loved sewing and other crafts, including cooking, She also loved all animals, especially cats..
She is survived by her wife of 26 years Debbie LeBoeuf-Rogers, her sister Eleanor Bryant deGraffenreid, and her son Ben McGlothlin (wife Rachel). In addition, she is survived by her grandchildren Brittany McGlothlin Guidry (husband Mike, son Rowan and daughter Olympia), Jackson McGlothlin, and Scott McGlothlin, (wife Ashley and son Brandon). She was also loved by many relatives and friends, all of whom will miss her dearly.
