Mary Helen Reed Corkern, 78 of Shreveport passed away at her home in Bossier City, March 11, 2017. A graveside service will be held at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Shreveport, Thursday, March 16, 2017 at 2pm.

She was born September 15, 1938 to Arney and Mary Bernard Reed in Elmgrove, La. The joys in her life were gardening ,traveling, and spending time with her friends and family. She retired from home health care. She was a well loved "Granny."

She is preceded in death by her parents Arney and Mary Bernard Reed, her brothers Sonny Reed, Richard Reed and her brother-in-law Elwood "Moe" Molaire. She is survived by her sisters, Toni Molaire and Jerilyn and (Gerald) Gary of New Iberia, brothers Martin and (Dorothy) Reed of Stonewall and Ervin and (Kathy) Reed of Greenwood.

She is survived by her children, John Albert Eugin and Linda Eugin Roane of Seattle. Nickie Molaire of Dallas, Pam Claburn, Henderson Texas; Penny Ramsey of Kilgore, Texas., and Nanette Corkern Gardner of Lafayette, La. She loved 12 grandchildren and 20 great granchildren.
