Mary Charlene Landry (Jett)

July 10, 1935 – April 19, 2021

Mary Jett Landry, age 85, of Shreveport, La, passed away peacefully with her daughter and son holding her hand on April 19, 2021.

Mary was born July 10, 1935 in Memphis, Tennessee to parents Maime Glazner Jett and Charles Pascal Jett.  Mary was married to Leonard Joseph Landry 38 years until his death.  They had 3 children, Michael, Tina, and one stillborn son, Leonard Joseph Landry, Jr.

Mary was a Godly woman who loved the Lord and her family and set an example for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren that will lead them all their lives.  She faithfully served the Lord as a Sunday School Teacher, Children Church Worker, Bus Worker and with Child Evangelism Fellowship.  She loved God's Word and was a powerful prayer warrior.  Only heaven will reveal what a wonderful and eternal impact all her many years of faithful praying have had on her family, friends and the world at large.  Mary was a faithful member of several Baptist Churches during her life.

Left to cherish her memory is her son, Rev. Mike Landry and wife Connie of Stonewall, La., her daughter, Tina Henderson of Longview, Tx.; Grandchildren, Amanda Brinlee and husband Jon, Eric Henderson and wife Melissa, Geoff Landry and wife Sandra, Katie Brossette and husband Brad, and Grant Henderson and wife Vanessa; and great grandchildren Logan, Hayden and Jordan Brinlee, Rachel and Isabelle Henderson, Emery and Beaux Jett Brossette, Daniela and Oliver Landry and twins Freya and Vincent Henderson; and twin brother Charles (Sonny) Jett and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Maime and Charles Jett, sister Laura Mullens, Husband L.J. Landry, stillborn son Leonard Joseph Landry, Jr. and son in law Edward Henderson.

A celebration of Mary's life will be held at a private family graveside service at State Line Cemetery in Bethany, La.  Pallbearers will be Grandsons Eric Henderson, Geoff Landry and Grant Henderson, Grandsons in law Jon Brinlee and Brad Brossette, and great-grandsons Logan and Hayden Brinlee.
