Mary Jo Galloway Almond Yeager

March 25, 1953 — May 25, 2026

It is with heavy hearts for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of Mary Jo "Jody" Galloway Almond Yeager, who departed this world on May 25, 2026, at the age of 73. She left us peacefully after a courageous battle with arterial disease.

Jody is preceded in death by her parents, Willie Joe Galloway and Bobbie Jean Hudson Galloway, her sister Frances Delores Rester and granddaughter Brittany Johnson.

She is survived by her sisters, Diane Raiford and husband Mike, Barbara Baughman and husband Duane; her daughters, Brenda Hayes and Skipper, Patricia LaBarre and Jacque, and Susan Almond and Beth; as well as five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Mary Jo will be remembered for her love of family and the many lives she touched throughout her life.

A memorial service will be held at Auld's Funeral Home in Shreveport on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. A second memorial service will be held in Pontotoc, Mississippi, on Saturday, June 6, 2026, with details to come.
