Mary Margaret Brown who liked to be called Mimi by all of her nieces and nephews entered into heaven at 64 years old.  She was born and raised and lived most of her life in Shreveport, Louisiana. Mary passed away on 3/22/2023 after a battle with cancer. She was cared for and loved by Tracie and Patrick Lostaglia and her son, Tommy Brown Jr. The family would like to thank St. Joseph Hospice who provided her end of life care and specifically, Mrs. Gwen.

Mary was born on September 25, 1958 to Flora Lou White and Robert F. White in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Mary had a long career with Libby Glass where she worked as Quality Control Specialist for 38 years. She had many life long friends from her time at Libby Glass.

Mary was wed to Tommy Brown in 1976 and had one son, Tommy Brown Jr. She raised him with love, dedication and devotion. He was her pride and joy. She was married to Ricky Brown in 1996.

Mary was preceded in death by her Mother, Father, her older brothers, Robert E. White, and Henry R. White, older sisters, Maryanne Dubois, and Alma Meshell, and one beloved nephew Stephen Parrie.

Mary is survived by two brothers, John A. White and Rodney W. White and two sisters Clara Veach and Sarah E. White. She was a second mother to Candis Welch, Sandra Graham, Roxanne Pagel, Amy Young, Bo Parrie, Tracie Lostaglia, and her great nieces and nephews were her grand-children.

Mary had the biggest heart and was always the first to offer a helping hand. She was the most selfless person and was so much more than just our "Mimi". She was our confidante, cheerleader, and best friend. However, she never hesitated to give us a reality check when we needed it.

Services will be held at Auld's Funeral Home in Shreveport, La on March 24, 2023 at 9am.
