Marvin "Ray" Heard of Haughton, LA, passed away on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at the VA Medical Center. He was born July 14, 1958 in Homer, LA. Ray was a proud U.S. Navy Veteran. He was a kind, charitable man who loved his sons, his family, his friends, and his church. Before he became ill he loved singing, writing Christian songs and playing his guitar. He also loved volleyball and his job at Cactus Wellhead. He was a member and a deacon of New Beginnings Community Church. Most of all he loved the Lord Jesus Christ. Ray is survived by his sons, Jacob, David, and Micah, and a grandson Aden. Ray is also survived by his parents, Ellis Heard and Bobbie Heard; two brothers, Roy Heard, and wife Angie, Jay Heard and wife Juvie; two sisters, Denise Heard Cook, and Fiance' Juan Flores, and Stacy Heard and husband Jeff Lewis. Also numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Special thanks to Lisa Heard Bourque for the special care and love you have shown during this time. Ray will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
