Marsha Gist Mingo
4/17/53-1/26/17

Our loving sister went with the angels to Heaven on January 26, 2017, after a courageous battle with cancer. She is preceeded in death by Loyd G. Gist Sr. (father), Dorothy J. Brown (mother), and Harold G. Patterson (brother). She leaves behind to cherish her memory her sisters, Nancy (Gist) Waren, Carol (Gist) Pemberton, John Spurgeon Gist (brother), Loyd Grady Gist, Jr. (brother) and a host of many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and grandchildren.

Marsha didn't have children, but she was a mother to all her sibling's children and all other children who knew and loved her. She loved the Lord, her church and strived to live her life as she thought God would want her to live. She helped give to people who she thought needed help, and was known to give her last, so that someone in need could have. That's the kind of person she was, a giver. Marsha was rich, but not with money or material things. She was rich in the sense that she loved life and thru the love that she gave and received from everyone who knew and loved her. The family would like to give a special thanks to Harmony Hospice and Highland Place for their loving care of Marsha. Life truly will not be the same without this wonderful, caring and giving woman. Till we meet again...

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2017, 11:00AM, at The Light Christian Church, 9155 Greenwood Baptist Church Rd., Greenwood, LA.
