Marlon Orell Green

May 2, 1931-September 21, 2021

Marlon Orell Green made his final journey September 21, 2021 at the age of 90 years old. He was a native of Marthaville, Louisiana and a resident of Shreveport, Louisiana for over 60 years. "Mo" as everyone called him retired from the military in 1959 and moved to Shreveport. There he met the love of his life Betty Jean Roberts, he was staying at her parents boarding house. They were married and their love was strong and committed for 60 years. He worked at Riley Beards for over 40 years. He is survived by his son Ray Green (Opal) and daughter Denell Dollar (Randy).

His grandchildren Cody, Courtney, Ray, Lexie, Becky, and David and many great grandchildren. He was proceeded in death by his parents Walter and Danie Green and his loving wife Betty Green. Mo was a follower of Christ his whole life and loved to sing gospel music.

A special thanks to the staff at Summerfield Estates and to those who were present in his final days including all the staff at Mont Clair and Southern Care hospice.
