Marlan Gilbert Stevens, 72, of Drew, Mississippi, went home on May 23, 2024, in Shreveport, Louisiana. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing (especially catfishing), watching westerns, and spending with family and friends. Later in life, he cherished every moment with his grandson.

Gilbert worked as a general contractor and painter throughout his career. He is survived by his son Jody Stevens, daughter in law Tracy Stevens, daughter Brandy Bryant, son in law Josh Bryant, and grandson Mason Bryant. He is preceded in death by his wife Frances Stevens, along with numerous friends and siblings.

A memorial service will be held at Auld's Funeral Home in Shreveport, Louisiana, on June 1st from 1-3pm. Auld's Funeral Home is assisting with the arrangements.
