With heavy hearts and cherished memories, the family of Marinda Osby celebrates her beautiful life and loving spirit. Marinda passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer. Though she is no longer with us in body, her joy, laughter, and kindness will forever live in the hearts of those who knew her.

Born on August 25, 1958, to Artie Osby and Nettie Gistand Osby McCray in Shreveport, Louisiana, Marinda grew up in a close-knit family full of love and togetherness. She shared her life with her siblings: Artie, Althea, Valerie, Rickey, and Beverly. She was known to many nieces and nephews as the "favorite" for her jovial spirit.

Marinda is survived by her daughter, Latoya Osby-Dufort (Shaun), and grandson, Zander Dufort, siblings Valerie Moore (Robert), Rickey Osby, and Beverly Osby. Her long-term partner Mack Bell and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. Known for her radiant smile and infectious laughter, Marinda had a way of making everyone around her feel loved and seen. Her vibrant spirit, compassionate heart, and unwavering strength will be remembered by all who were blessed to call her mama, daughter, family or friend.

A Celebration of Life and Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 15th, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Aulds Funeral Home at 7849 E Kings Hwy, Shreveport, LA 71115.
