Marie M. Causey, 83, of Benton, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, July 6, 2023, surrounded by her loving family.

Marie was a proud member of Immanuel Lutheran Church for over 50 Years. She was active on the Fellowship Committee, Altar Guild, teaching Sunday School, and everything in between. She also volunteered for the Providence House both cooking and serving those less fortunate. Marie loved traveling and dancing with her husband, spending time with her family, beating her grandkids at cards, and brightening everyone's holidays with her delicious treats.

Marie was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 57 years, Troy E. Causey; their beloved son, Troy V. Causey; and son-in-law, Jerry.

She is survived by her daughter, Blenna Robinson; son, James Causey and wife, Emma; sister, Rita Wright; 10 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and many wonderful friends and family.

Our special thanks to her church family, Dr. Cobb, Darlene, and Patricia (our earthly angels).

A visitation will be held from 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM on Monday, July 10, 2023, at Aulds Funeral Home, 7849 East Kings Highway, Shreveport, Louisiana 71115.  Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, July 11, 2023, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 2565 Airline Drive, Bossier City, Louisiana 71111.  Burial will immediately follow at Hill Crest Memorial Park, in Haughton.

In lieu of flowers, it was Marie's wishes, that donations be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church, so that God's house can continue to grow.
